Evaluate a WebSite
Essential Question: How do we determine if a web page is a reliable source for information?
Objective: to critically evaluate three web pages on a topic to determine the quality of the information each web page provides.
Topic: School Lunch Programs
We are doing research to answer this question in order to write an essay defending our point of view. Students will need to:
1. Review the pages for information, accuracy, objectivity, currency and coverage.
2. Evaluate the checklist results to determine which web sites are reliable for use and are of high-quality to use in writing and research.

- School Meal
- Choose three of the following links or use Google to search for a web page on the topic listed.
- Evaluate each page on the form provided. Answer yes or no for each question. You will need to explore the site to answer some of the questions.
Follow-up: In class we will discuss our findings and share our findings with the group.
