Essential Question: How do we determine if a web page is a reliable source for information?
Objective: to critically evaluate a web page on a topic to determine the quality of the information each web page provides.
Topic: History of Cell Phones
We are doing research in order to create a timeline of cell phone design and development and to make predictions about what phones in the future may look like. Students will need to:
1. Review at least one page for information, accuracy, objectivity, currency and coverage.
2. Evaluate the checklist results to determine if a web site is reliable for use and are of high-quality to use in writing and research.

Follow-up: In class we will discuss our findings and share our findings with the group.
Wrap Up: Determine which site/ sites are most reliable for use in our research on this topic.

- The Future is Here. What is next for Mobile Phones?
- Choose one of the following links or use Google to search for a web page on the topic listed.
- Evaluate the page on the form provided. Answer yes or no for each question. You will need to explore the site to answer some of the questions.
- Freely use Google to answer questions you may have authors, sponsors, or information.
Follow-up: In class we will discuss our findings and share our findings with the group.
Wrap Up: Determine which site/ sites are most reliable for use in our research on this topic.
