What do we do...
The Lowell School Library faculty and resources support the mission and curricula of our PreK-Grade 5 school community. Classes visit the library at least once per week for instruction in literature appreciation (including book check-out), research/information skills, and educational technology. Instructional content differs week to week and grade to grade. Classroom teachers may also sign out the library and computer lab to work on projects when the spaces are not in use, and Ms. McCollum (library teacher) is available to assist with information and technology projects.
We are open when school is in session: 8:15am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. |
Library StaffMs. McCollum, our library media specialist, has worked in libraries for more than 25 years with students in grades PK-12. She holds an undergraduate degree in elementary and early childhood education and a master's degree in library and information systems from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She enjoys books of all genres, reading stories aloud in funny voices, hiking with her German Shepherd, and skiing with her kids.
